Clifford A. Doran, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, died October24th at the Bob Stump VA Medical Center in Prescott, AZ. He was 67 years old. Cliff was born December 19, 1938 in Rockwell, Iowa. He was the son of Clifford A. and Elnora (Thomas) Doran. Cliff proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in 1960. He earned his Masters Degree in Education from Idaho State University. He took great pride and enjoyment in his position as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor at the VA Hospital in Prescott where he was employed until his death October 24, 2006. He also had a long career in the home construction industry. Cliff enjoyed spending time with family and friends whom he liked to engage in lively conversation and debate-particularly about politics and religion. Among his many other interests were golfing, listening to opera music, reading books and watching films, especially about the American West and military history. Cliff loved his work at the VA. He was a great teacher and mentor; there was a lesson to be learned or taught in all he did. He will be remembered for his strong sense of pride and morality in word and deed as well as his generosity to others and his quick intelligence and wit.
