Claudia Lucile Hastings

Claudia L. Hastings passed peacefully on February 25, 2014 at the Pioneer Home. She was born October 30, 1917 in Neosho, Missouri to P.R. and Gertrude Smith. She was preceded in death by her sister Dorothy and brother Patrick. After high school she trained to be a registered nurse but after a year decided to attend business college. She had a temporary job in Washington, D.C. and then returned to MO to marry her husband Howard Hastings, who preceded her in death in October, 1973. They moved to Winslow, AZ in 1942 where she worked as a legal secretary. They had three children, Howard (Phyllis) Hastings II of Lubbock, TX, Paul David Hastings of Albuquerque, NM, and Barbara (Gary) Vaughn of DuPont, WA; six grandchildren: Mark Hastings who preceded her in death, David Hastings, Holli Thetford, Noel Hastings, Scott Wagner and Shelley Carr; and she had fourteen great-grandchildren. Claudia was a long time member of the Church of Christ in Prescott. Family will have services in Neosho, Missouri where Claudia will be buried aside her husband, sister and parents. The family wishes to thank the great staff at the Pioneer Home and Samaritan Hospice for such special care.

Cemetery:
Final interment will be at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Neosho, MO.
