Claude Howard Simons

Claude Howard Simons died on Sunday, December 28, 2008 in Flagstaff, Arizona.  Born on November 8, 1928 in Wells, New York, he was the son of the late Floyd and Redia (Knapp) Simons.  He was 80 years old. Claude was a member of the American Legion and the National Rifle Association.  He enjoyed mechanics, music, shooting, leather working, reading and trivia.  He was most proud of his family and his rifles. Claude is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Felicia; children Lisa M. Isburgh of Prescott Valley, Arizona, Zachary (Cheryl) Simons of Pollocksville, North Carolina, Michael (Kit) Simons of Houston, Texas, Mark E. Simons also of Houston, and Brenda Smith of Bridgewater, South Dakota; grandchildren David, Meagan, Mara, Celene, Jessica, Stephanie, Zachary II, Jason, Lane, Amanda, Britney, Jewlyanne; great-grandchildren A.D. IV, Chloe, Michael, Ashley; sisters Alice Reandeau of Tupper Lake, New York, Evelyn Buyce of Wells, New York; sister-in-law Mary Simons of Glens Falls, New York.  He is preceded in death by his daughter Monica Figueroa; grandson Tommy; sister Arlene Reese; brother Warren Simons; brothers-in-law Chebsy Reandeau, Allison Buyce, and George Reece.  He will be greatly missed.
