On September 16, 2013, Clarice Elizabeth Holldorf left this life behind to start a new one in heaven. Born to John and Pat Wamble on January 29, 1961. Clar grew up with one brother, Everett and four sisters, Carol, Patrick, JoAnn, and Barb. Clar grew up and went to school in Williams. She met Kevin Holldorf, her husband of 24 years and they settled in Ash Fork where she lived out the rest of her life. A talented musician, Clar loved to share her guitar and fiddle music at church, family gathering or in the yard for her cherished animals if no one else was around. Clar's children, family and friends were central in her life. Angel and Ace were special dogs along with Morning Glory the goat, who thinks she is a dog. Clar loved God, knick-knacks , Ding Dongs, camping, whiskey, horseshoes, America and Oreos, not necessarily in that order. She hated hypocrites, pernicious weeds, injustice, crows and skunks, not necessarily in that order. The pistol packing, baseball bat wielding mother of four racked up an impressive kill number of 27 crows and 30-something skunks in just one season. Knocking those crows dead mid-flight with her trusty bat. She was fiercely protective of her home and family. Clar was a strong-minded, resilient woman who would never shy away from causing trouble by speaking her mind. Everyone could count on her to have a strong opinion and a flashlight at the ready. She used both to shine a light on darkness and to lead the way. Her unrelenting honesty may have gotten her thrown out of several churches, but that didn’t stop her from expressing her heartfelt and thought out opinions. Clar enjoyed camping and used her whistle to keep her children and everyone else's children in line. When she got a job with the Forest Service fire crew, Clar finally got a government approved whistle and her title of official whistler was solidified. Clar leaves behind her husband Kevin and her four children Levi, Jacob, Jessica and Amy. As well as her mother and sisters, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and kin, friends and adversaries to fight and love, argue and laugh without her.
