Charles Walter Brown passed away on December 2, 2008 at Hospice Family Care in Prescott, Arizona. He was 90 years old. Charles was born August 10, 1918 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Walter David & Ruth Ellen (Scheffer) Brown. He is preceded in death by his wife Thelma (Davis) Brown whom he married on March 7, 1989. Throughout his life he was a driver for a transportation company and was retired from the United States Army of which he was very proud to have served his country. He has lived in Arizona for  the last 27 years and in Yavapai County for the last 10. He previously resided in California. Along with many other states and sights visited in his R.V. from his love of traveling. As a boy he was part of the Red Skeletons stage show in Philadelphia and loved trains which were also part of his adulthood. Charles was pleased to have taken care of Faye Dunaway and Paul Newman?s R.V. on the set of Towering Inferno in San Francisco. On the field of a football game between East/West Shrine, Charles carried the flag proudly across the arena, to show his commitment and patriotism towards Shriner?s and his affiliation. He was also a member of many organizations including; Masons, American Legion Post # 79 and UTU Union. He was most proud to have called everyone his best friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.   Charles Walter Brown is survived by son?s; Charles R. Brown of Santa Rosa, California; George & wife Diana Brown of Yarnell, AZ; grandchildren- Jeffrey, Jennifer, Robert, Margaret, Christina, David and Sandra; great-grandchildren- Chris, Caden, Gavin, max, Zack, Jason, Michael, Taylor, & Dannika.
