Charles 'Chuck' Daniel White, Sr. died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Longmont, Colorado on Saturday, July 27,2013. He had recently moved from his home of many years in Prescott, Arizona. Chuck was born in Taunton, Massachusetts on February 27, 1928 to Annie Mae Hall and Charles B. White. Chuck loved to tell stories of the 'good life' he enjoyed growing up in the rural New England town. He graduated from high school in 1946 and immediately joined the United States Marine Corps. He met his bride Jacqueline Fern Curry while stationed in Hawaii and they married in 1950. As a Marine, Chuck discovered his lifelong passion for aviation mechanics and maintenance. While in the Marines, Chuck worked as an instructor, teaching new reserves aircraft maintenance and engine repair. After ten years of active service, Chuck continued his career in both aviation private industry and the Air National Guard. He retired as a Tech Sargent after 27 years of combined service. Throughout his life, Chuck enjoyed fishing, woodworking, storytelling and helping his friends and family. He was a man who could fix anything with the resources found in his garage. Chuck was a good man who was loved and respected by so many. Chuck was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Fern White. In addition to his cherished friend, Sue Chambers, Chuck is also survived by his sister Eleanor Boudreau, his sons and daughters-in-law: Charles and Darcy White, Jr., Timothy and Ruthie White, Scott and Shannon White and his daughter and son-in law: Paula and George Bradshaw, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
