Carroll Jean Zetterlof (Barber) left this world to join our loving Father in heaven after 88 full years on this earth. Carroll was born in Port Huron, Michigan, and when she was a child her family moved to Euclid, Ohio where she graduated from Euclid Central High school. Shortly after graduation, she met Ray Zetterlof and they moved to Phoenix Arizona where they were married and raised 4 children, worked as a homemaker and for a few different companies including the Arizona Highway Department. In 1952, she was in an accident which almost proved to be fatal. The doctors didn’t think she would live, yet with her surviving spirit, she proved them wrong. They told her she wouldn’t bear children, yet again, she proved them wrong. In 1986, she moved to Prescott, Arizona and raised 4 grandchildren.
Carroll was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was a very loving, selfless and compassionate woman that helped anyone who needed it. She was always reaching out to those that needed a little extra help, or to provide a shoulder to lean on. Carroll loved being outside, whether was to watch her children and grandchildren play sports, swim, dance or just enjoying the beauty in the world that God blessed us with.
Carroll is preceded in death by her mother and father, husband, sister, son and grandson. She is survived by her brother, 3 daughters, 8 grandchildren, and 4 great- grandchildren with one more on the way.
If you knew Carroll, you knew what a wonderful lady and role model she was. She is deeply loved and missed, and forever will be.
