Carl E. Ostrom, died, March 22, 2005 in Prescott, Az, of pnuemonia. He was born May 29, 1912 in Philadephia, PA., the son of Knute W. and Mary-Eve (Clymer) Ostrom. Carl was 92 years old. Carl graduated from Yale, with a doctrate in Forest Management. He retired in 1976 after a distinguished career with the U.S. Forest Service. He rose to Associate Deputy Chief of the Department. He was awarded from the Dept. of Agriculture both the Distinguished Service Award and the Superior Service Award. Carl was the editor of many U.S. Forest Service Publications. He moved to Prescott with his wife Laura upon his retirement. He was an active member in the Prescott Camera Club. Enjoyed woodworking , nature, camping with his family, traveling the world, classical music and fine art. He was an accomplished artist working in both acrylics and watercolors. He knew the importance of being a true gentleman with his kindness and compassion toward his family and friends. Carl is survived by his wife Laura, daughters, Lynn (Bob) Isackson, of Gaithersburg, MD, Gwen Ostrom of Rochester, NY, and Jacquie Ostrom (Randy Lindsey) of Colordao Springs, Co.. Carl was preceded in death by his son, Neil Eric, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. A gathering of family and friends will celebrate Carl?s life from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday March 25, 2005, with a tribute at 3:00 p.m. at the Az. Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, corner of Cortez and Carleton,
