Carey B. Pavlish, 67, of Dewey, AZ died on July 29, 2022, after a battle with cancer.
He was born to Ben and Mary Pavlish in Dickinson, ND on June 22, 1955.
Carey joined the Army in 1973, serving during the Vietnam, Korea, and Gulf Wars. He earned several honors throughout his career to include: National Defense Service medals, Meritorious Service – 2nd Oak Leaf Cluster medal, and Army Good Conduct Medals six times. His army career took him all over the globe to places such as Korea, Germany, and Alaska. While stationed in Mankato, MN, he met his wife, Anne, and they married in 1978. Carey is survived by Anne, their daughter Carolyn, son Christopher (Melissa), and three grandchildren. He retired as a Master Sergeant in 1994 after 21 years of service.
After his honorable discharge from the Army, he pursued vocations in sales, homeopathic health, and tax law. He was a salesman by nature and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others.
He was preceded in death by his father Ben Pavlish.
A graveside ceremony will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at 11:00am at Prescott National Cemetery.
