Buddy - Walter Charles “Buddy” Martin, was born November 05, 1931 to Walter Charles Martin and Bobbie Dunn Martin in Covina, California. He was raised in Camp Verde, Arizona along with his sisters Betty and Myrna. Buddy attended Arizona State College where he earned his Varsity Certificate in Rodeo, participating in bull riding, saddle bronc and bareback events. He was an accomplished welder, known for making hackamores, spurs and horse trailers; and applied his skills working for Heckla Mine, and Palo Verde Power Plant. He also served in the Arizona Army National Guard, attaining the rank of Staff Seargeant. Generous with his time and skills, Buddy never hesitated to lend a hand to family, friend or stranger. He was quick to laugh and make a friend but slow to lose one, and always had a story to tell, generally rich with Arizona history. Although his life was full Buddy’s family meant everything, and his children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Betty Martin Grabe, and his grandson Thane Roberts; and he is survived by his sister Myrna Martin Titsworth, daughter Annette Martin Zellers, son Walter Charles Martin III, and grandsons Dalton Martin and Liam Roberts.
