Bobbie Jean Harper

Bobbie Jean Harper died January 5, 2009 at Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott, AZ. She was born November 26, 1930 in Waldron, Arkanas, the daughter of O.S. and Dessa A. (Oliver) Thomas. Bobbie was 78 years old.   Bobbie graduated from Ft. Smith College in Arkansas. She  worked as a Clerk Typist II  for the City of Phoenix for 14 years before retiring in 1979. Bobbie married her sweetheart Jack on July 15, 1951, and together they had two handsome sons.   She was a resident of Arizona since 1948 and previously resided in Louisiana.  Before her illiness, she was an active member of the American Legion, VFW Auxillary, and the United Methodist Church.    Bobbie was a wonderful mother and  caregiver to Jack and her sons.     She is survived by her loving husband, Jack, of 57 years of Prescott, AZ; sons: Robert Harper of Chandler, AZ and Mark Harper of San Diego, CA; brother: Bill Thomas of New Iberia, LA; sister-in-law: Jane Neely of Mustang, OK, AR; grandsons: Aaron Harper and Chris Harper; granddaughter: Lorraine Harper.
