Billy E. Davis, age 80, died on Monday, November 21, 2011, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Prescott, AZ. He was born on July 22, 1931, in Hot Lake, OR, to Earl Chester and Rowena (Wilson) Davis. After completing his high school education, Billy graduated college with a Bachelors Degree and started work for the government as a state social worker. His social work provided him with the opportunity to travel. Billy also was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1949-1952. He has lived in Arizona for the past twenty years, coming from Oregon. Billy was active in ministry as well. Having a relationship with his Lord and Savior was the most important thing in his life and enjoyed sharing that relationship through out his life. Billy was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church in Prescott Valley, AZ. He also was active in a jail ministry. Earlier in his life he enjoyed working with and riding horses. On May 9, 1981, He married Jacqueline O. Bonnell, and she survives him. Billy is also survived by his children, Barbara (Albert) Davis of Germany, William Davis of Ashland, OR, Mary (Chris) Gifford of Vista, CA, Nancy (Hovi) White of Chino, CA, Dorine (Robert) Weisman of Pasadena, CA, step children, Debra & John Barnard and Dennise Turner, seventeen grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and a step-great grandchild. Billy was preceded in death by a son, Kenji Davis. The family will gather privately for services at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Open Door Baptist Church in Prescott Valley, AZ.
