Beverly Marie Dumas

Beverly Marie Dumas of Laguna Woods Village, CA, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma in Prescott, AZ, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Rich Finston, on June 2, 2013. A USC graduate, Beverly was a teacher for the Los Angeles Unified School District, a commercial real estate broker, and a successful publications editor. After moving to the Village, her lifelong passion for music and the performing arts led to roles in local musical productions with the Theatre Guild, singing and playing the piano in Costa del Sol and the Sunshine Performance Club, and performing for local Alzheimer and Saddleback Memorial Medical Center fundraising events. Beverly adored her family and friends, and cherished time spent with her love, Les Wilmot. Always smiling, loving, and kind, her gentle strength and compassion touched many lives. Beverly was predeceased by her mother, Lillian Chilson, and her beloved older brother Johnny, a Bomber pilot who was shot down in WWII. She is survived by her daughter Kim, son-in-law Rich, and grandchildren Liz Stillings, Amy Finston and Coby Finston. A celebration of her life will be held in Laguna Woods, CA, at a later date.

Cemetery:
Her cremated remains will be scattered at Yosemite National Park.
