On Sunday, September 12, 2021, Beverly Louise Hayes, loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and great-grandmother passed away at the age of 81. Beverly was born on January 5, 1940, in Wichita, Kansas to Alma Louise and Claude Beverly Good. She attended Shawnee Mission High School where she was head cheerleader. She received her teaching degree from Arizona State University and went on to teach 2nd grade. Beverly loved traveling to Hawaii and was blessed to visit 22 times. She was always told she resembled Liz Taylor and was just as beautiful inside as out. Bev was always referred to as classy Beverly. She shared her birthday with her daughter and together they would go on annual birthday trips to celebrate their special connection. Beverly had a very strong bond with her son, he was her rock after her husband passed, and she moved to be close to him and his family. She loved to collect dolls and had an extensive collection. She loved to decorate, and Christmas was her favorite holiday, everyone remembers her famous Lasagna at Christmas Eve. She was proud of her Christian faith and was a kind, sweet, loving soul. She enjoyed reading morning prayers and listening to Christian music. One of her favorite spiritual quotes was, “Always keep your eye on the sparrow”. Beverly loved to shop and had great style; everyone knows her shoes always matched her outfits. Her grandchildren and great-granddaughter were her pride and joy, she loved being their “Mimi”. She loved dogs and raised 5 She Peis, she just couldn’t get enough of those cuddly wrinkled pups. Sedona was one of her favorite places, her parents retired there, she wanted to move there but it wasn’t her journey. Now Beverly will join her mother, father, and younger sister Cheryl to rest in peace together in her beloved Sedona. She is survived by her son Bryan and his wife Katherine, daughter Bonnie and her husband Larry and their son Spencer, three grandchildren, Luke and wife Meghan, Lauryn and fiance Merek, Lexie, and her new great-granddaughter, Kenah. She is also survived by her niece Jennifer, nephew Judson and cousins.Memorial services are private.
