Bernice Storm died Sunday, April 25, 2005 at a care home in Tucson, Arizona. She was born in Prescott native; born December 11, 1910; the daughter of Schuyle A. and Eva (Seidel) Davis. Bernice was 94 years old. Bernice was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, a past president and lifetime member of the Cowbelles and a member of the Questers, an avid group of antiquers. She was also a lifetime member of the Westerners. She worked with her husband Bill raising their family on the Sundog (Storm) Ranch just northeast of Prescott. Bernice was very proud of her work as a physical education teacher in California and her work as a recreation director at Crystal Lake in the mountains above Los Angeles. She was also very proud of her work on Navy optics during WW II. Bernice loved music, poetry , art, reading, and tending her flower garden and had wonderful memories of her trips to Spain, Italy, and Europe. Bernice is survived by her daughters Ellie (Steve) Huddleston and Janet (Vernon) Gerdes both of Prescott and her husband?s Bill?s daughter Joanne (Harold) Ross of Redding, CA. by her sons; James (Shirley) Harvey of San Jose, CA, Jeff Storm of Tucson and George Storm of Marana, AZ. and her cousin Irene Burciaga of Montebello, CA. She had 29 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday May 2 at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, Cortez at Carleton, with visitation two hours prior with a Celebration Mass at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 3 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 150 Fluery.
