Benjamin ?Ben? Joseph Trombatore, 78, was born August 14, 1928 in Altadena, California to Joseph and Hazel Trombatore. Ben joined the United States Army and wss honorably discharged as a 2nd Lieutenant in 1953. He moved to Louisiana in 1958, where he lived until 1997. Ben died May 16, 2007 at the Bob Stump V. A. Medical Center, Hospice Center in Prescott, Arizona. Ben and his wife moved to Prescott Ten years ago from the Greater New Orleans, Louisiana area, where he practiced law for over 35 years. During that time he also started a savings and loan company and was a real estate broker, managing his own company. Not content with retirement, he became a realtor with Coldwell Banker, and also became an associate member of the Yavapai County Bar, where he developed many additional friendships. Ben received a B.S. degree in Production Management from UCLA, and a J.D. degree from Loyola University of the South in New Orleans, LA., where he served as President of his law fraternity. Ben and his son, Joe, owned and operated a catfish farm in the Mississippi Delta from 1981 through 1996. Ben had many leisure interests including hiking, snow skiing, flying his own plane, walking his Greyhound ?Whisper?, and most of all, traveling. He and his wife made many memorable trips, both in the United States and in many foreign countries. Of Italian heritage, he became known as a ?gourmet cook? and loved to entertain. Ben greatly enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Ben is survived by his loving and caring wife Harriett of Prescott, his children and their spouses; Larry and Suzanne of New Iberia, LA, Wade and Jeanette of Lafayette, LA, Joseph and Elda of Carriere, MS, Benjamin and Debra of Pearl River, LA, Kimberly and James Dismukes of Austin, TX, Deborah and Brian Lodge of Savannah, GA, and James and Sherry Owen of Nashville, TN. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Michelle, Andrea, Kyle, Ethan, Megan, Vincent, and Blake; and his great grandchildren; Jacob, Jonah, Jourdan, and Cloe.
