Beatrice Holst Mullaney

Beatrice Holst Mullaney, a long-time resident of Prescott died September 19, 2008 after a short illness. Beatrice was born in Chicago in 1911 and had a successful career as a legal secretary until retiring and moving to Prescott with her husband in 1975.  While living in Prescott she pursued her interest in gems and minerals, knitting, and photography, winning many awards for each at the Yavapai County Fair.  She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish, a member of and a volunteer for the Sharlott Hall Museum and the Smoki Museum. She was the wife of Thomas P. Mullaney who predeceased her.  She is survived by her sister, Wilma Major of Palos Heights, IL; three children, William Mullaney of Windsor, CO; Diane Mullaney of Lexington KY; and Richard Mullaney of Lockport, IL; four grandchildren, Thomas C. Mullaney, Erik Boarman, Victoria Greenwell, and Maura Wernimont and seven great-grand children. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, September 29 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fluery, Prescott. She wished that donations be made to Make A Wish Foundation or UNICEF.
