B Len Upchurch

Len Upchurch died January 8, 2023, at the age of 100 in Prescott, Arizona. Len lived in several areas in Arizona for the last forty plus years.

Len was born March 2, 1922, in Great Wymondley, Hertfordshire, England to Leonard Upchurch and Minnie Waldock. Len was raised and educated in Hitchin, England and worked in his father’s floral nursery until joining the British Navy. Len was involved in the South Pacific during World War II.

While training in Chicago, Len met Judy Hines and they were married June 6. 1944 in New York City

Len worked in many occupations and received his PH. D in Philosophy.

Len lost his wife Judy to cancer in 1976. He met and married Janet Aase Kieffer on June 3, 1977, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Len had many interests including: guns, cars, horses, hunting and fishing and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and playing cards. Len liked to impress people with his tenor voice and his knowledge of Navajo.

Len is survived by his children, Michael, Lee, Shelley, Lori, his stepchildren Michael, Tim, Steven and Ann-Marie. Len had many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Len had one wisdom in his life and that was to “Listen”. He said you could learn a lot from listening.

Len will be sorely missed by his family and loved ones. Len was a believer in the Savior, Jesus Christ and he is with him and all his loved ones before him.
