Arthur Harry Nelson Jr.

Arthur Harry Nelson, Jr. passed away on Friday, October 4, 2019 in Chino Valley, AZ.  Art was born in Rochester, New York on May 12, 1966. He moved to the Prescott area in 2010.

He attended Penfield High School, where he played football, basketball, and baseball.  He went on to Penn State University, the University of Buffalo, and graduated from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Brockport. In addition, he graduated from the Machining and Tooling Program at Monroe Community College.He earned Peer Support Specialist Certification through NAZCARE in 2013.

He is survived by his sister Marty Nelson (Skip Otterbein) of Prescott, sister Carolyn (Nick) Nickson of Santa Clarita California, 2 nieces, 2 nephews, and 6 great-nephews and nieces.  Donations may be made in his honor to the West Yavapai Guidance Clinic or Prescott United Methodist Church.

A Memorial Service for Art will take place at 2:00 pm, Friday, October 18, 2019 at the Prescott United Methodist Church at 505 E. Gurley St. Prescott, AZ.
