Andrew P. Britt

On Monday, September 21st, 2020, Andrew Britt, loyal and loving son and brother, passed away at the age of 38. Andrew was born to Patrick and Gretchen Britt in Davenport, Iowa on November 13, 1981. Andrew lived in Davenport for all of his youth until joining the Navy, and later serving the Marines, at the age of the 18. During his time in active duty, Drew as he now became known, served as a corpsman, a duty for which both Drew and his family were extremely proud. Having served in Afghanistan and Iraq, Drew was honorably discharged with a Purple Heart. Following active duty, Drew continued to see the new places; school in Iowa City, hiking the Appalachian Trail, and living and working in Bozeman, Montana and Prescott, Arizona. Drew was preceded in death by his father, Pat, his uncle, Tom, and his grandparents, Larry and Judy Britt. He is survived by his mother, Gretchen, and two sisters, Emily and Maddie. Drew is also survived by a grandmother, several uncles, Godparents, and several cousins. To remember Drew, the family is requesting donations be made in his honor to your local mental health support community. Private services are being arranged with the National Cemetery.
