Allan Brighton

Allan Burns Brighton, born February 15, 1933, embarked on a gloriousjourney to his heavenly home on February 27, 2012. He was predeceasedby his parents, Allan A. Brighton and Margaret Sheran and beloveddaughter-in-law, Monika Brighton. He is survived by his two sisters,Barbara Castles, Judy DeLisa, and James Brighton. Allan, and his wifeof fifty-eight years Eleanor, have four children: Peggy Brady (Pete),Kathy Tinsley (Troy), Allan C. Brighton and Amy Lee (Richard), andtwelve grandchildren: Blake Allen, Ryan Brady, Grant Allen, KevinBrady, Katie Lee, Dominic Brighton and Vanessa Brighton, Nicole Lee,Laura Brady, Kristin Lee, Shannon Lee and Daniel Lee. Allan traveledwidely and had a long career in management with TWA. He joined theNavy at age 17, graduated from Rutgers University in 1958, and earnedan MBA from ASU in 1981. As a youth he enjoyed performing in theBalentine Drum and Bugle Corp in Irvington, New Jersey. More recently,he enjoyed singing with the High Mountain Chordsmen in Prescott, AZ.Allan, and his golden retriever Bonnie, were a fixture around theCourthouse and Whiskey Row. With Bonnie at his side, Allan enjoyedregular visits with dear friends in Whiskers Barkery, the GallopingGoose and the shoe store on Gurley St.

Memorials:
A memorial service for Allan will be held on Saturday at 3pm. at American Lutheran Church on ScottDrive in Prescott. Donations may be made to the Yavapai Humane Societyor the High Mountain Chordsmen.
