Roy Austin Henman

Roy Austin Henman died on Thursday, December 11, 2008, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Prescott, Arizona.  Born on July 10, 1926, in Grand Valley, Colorado, he was the son of the late  David A. and Marion (Courtney) Henman.  He was 82 years old. Roy married his sweetheart Reba on March 10, 1964. They brought together two families and made them one, and added a couple of additions. He worked as a carpenter most of his life in construction and after retirement Reba remembers asking him as they passed a constuction sight if he missed that kind of work and his reply was " NO WAY"! Roy worked very hard throughout his life including contests on who could carry the most lumber up a ladder to the roof fastest. Roy was a member of the American Legion Post 119 in Placerville, California.  He was a car collector and song writer, and enjoyed doing yard work.  He was most proud of his children and grandchildren. Roy is survived by his loving wife, Reba; daughters Robin (Eddie) Woodel, Tarilynn (Bill) Donohoe, Brandi (Edward) Morales, and Dani (Steve) Myers, all of Placerville; sons Tim Mead of Placerville, and Robert Henman of Roseville, California; grandchildren Dean, Jody, Paul, Lance, Derek, Amanda, Mercedes, Brianna, Logan, Kayla, Cadye, Jacob, Joey, Josh, Rebekah, Aron, Courtney, and Brandon; great-grandchildren Samantha, Kaden, Dominus, Lily, Jade, Billie, Mellodi, Zachary, Kristopher, and Mystic; sister Ruthie (Jerry) Gearhart or Bodfish, California; brother Ray (Sybil) Henman of Phoenix, Arizona.  He will be greatly missed.
