Ralph Leslie Thompson, 82, a resident of Prescott, Arizona, formerly of Maine, passed away in his dreams, Saturday evening, July 27th at the VA Medical Center in Prescott, Arizona. He was born December 27, 1930 in Farmington, Maine, the son of George and Lillian (Merrill) Thompson. He attended school in Livermore Falls, Maine. He joined the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. He married Lena Palmer in 1955, they later divorced. He worked through the years as a shoe cutter at Falcon Shoe in Auburn, Maine, this is where he met his second wife Bertha M. Thompson. She passed away in 2008. He was a member of the Korean Auxiliary in Prescott. He enjoyed going to the casino, his dog Diane, and the times spent with his family. He was especially proud of his boys, Randy, Rick and Colby. He is survived by his sons, Randy R. Thompson of East Dixfield, Maine; Rick Thompson of Diriamba, Nicaraqua; and Colby Ramsey of Turner, Maine; stepson, Robert Thompson of New Sharon, Maine; stepdaughters, Sharlene Cook of Farmington, Maine and Wanda Jordan of Buckfield, Maine; 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Cemetery:
A memorial service will be held at the Prescott Veteran's Cemetery on Friday, August 9, 2013 at 2:00 pm
