Mitchell Michael Defilipps

Mitchell Michael DeFilipps passed away on September 4, 2008 at the Bob Stump VAMC in Prescott, Arizona. He was born September 1, 1923 in Tacoma, Washington to Vinzezo & Stella (Callabrese) DeFilipps. He was 85 years old. Mitchell served his Country proudly as a Recruiter in the United States Army. He married his sweetheart Ann (Caualuchi) DeFilipps on June 2, 1945 who has preceeded him in death.  After the war they moved to Washington where he worked as a bus driver.  He reenlisted with the US Army in 1955 & served his Country proudly including 1 combat tour in Vietnam. He retired from the US Army in 1972. He and Ann lived in Washington until 2000 when they moved to Arizona to be close to their family.  He was a member of St. Germaine's Catholic Church, VFW, Elks Lodge, and the American Legion. Mitchell enjoyed golf, fishing,bowling and most of all being with his wife Ann of 60 years. He will be greatly missed............................   He is survived by Son; Vincent Samuel ( Selene ) DeFilipps and two grandchildren; Michael & Joseph.
