Manuel J Chavez

Manuel J. Chavez, 37 of Prescott Valley, AZ passed away October 8, 2017. He is now with our Lord and his maternal Grandparents, Victor and Jennie Corona whom he  missed every day.Manuel was born in San Bernardino, CA graduated from San Gorgonio High School and then decided to move to Arizona to attend Embry Riddle Aeronautical University to become a Computer Engineer. After a couple of semesters he decided he wanted to teach math instead of just work in a related field. He attended and graduated from Yavapai Community College and Northern Arizona University in 2004. He then started his student teaching at Mile High Middle School in Prescott, Arizona. Manuel taught not only there but also at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Prescott, AZ but also at Park View Middle School and Canyon View Prep Academy in Prescott Valley, AZ.He loved teaching and connected with his students in a way only he could. He taught them not only math but gave them a part of himself every day. He always said his goal was to teach so that each of his students learned not only math, which he loved, but that they knew there was always someone who cared about them.He will be missed each and every day by his family, friends, co-workers and anyone who he happened to meet.
