TEVOLITZ - Malen (Mal) Z. Tevolitz, 78 of Prescott Valley, AZ, formerly a 39 year resident of Monroe, CT, passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 following a 5 year battle against lung cancer. Born the son of the late Arthur and Selma (Byer) Tevolitz on November 30, 1939 in Bridgeport, CT. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Beverly (Arotsky) Tevolitz and his beloved daughter, Laurel Tevolitz of Playa del Rey, CA and sons Craig and Richard (Baiano) Tevolitz of Boston, MA. Loving brother of Robert (Sandra) Tevolitz of Boynton Beach, FL. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces. He was a devoted history buff, especially the history of the Civil War and World War II. A graduate of the University of Bridgeport, he was a lover of art, automobiles, aviation and Bassett Hounds. A passionate Constitutionalist, NRA Member and staunch supporter of the Second Amendment; Mal was a highly skilled gunsmith/firearms enthusiast, marksman, artist and craftsman in many mediums. He will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him.
