Lorraine ?Ben? Jones, 54, died Friday, August 12, 2005 at Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott. She was born March 28, 1951 in Prescott; the daughter of Gibson and Florence (Charles) Jones. Ben was a tribal member of the Yavapai Indian Tribe serving on the board as the secretary/treasurer she also served as receptionist in the Tribal office until her illness which required her to retire at an early age. She loved to play softball and basketball. Her heart was in the outdoors and loved to be outside. Ben was proud of her tribal membership in the Yavapai Indian Tribe and especially of her children. Ben is survived by children and their spouses; Diane (Alex) Martinez, Darlene James, Doreen (Victor) Zuniga, Jessica (Pepe) Bernal, Darwin James Jr., Loralyn Jones, Felicia Jones and Gabriel James all of Prescott, Frank James her life companion. Ben is also survived by her brothers and sister-in-law; Isaac Jones and Ernie and Janet Jones, Sr., both of Prescott, and sisters and brothers-in-law; Delores Jones, Lenora and Terry Manuel, Kathy and Javier Jones all of Prescott. Grandchildren; Michael, Alexis, Alexio, Briza, Brianna, Joseph, Brandon, Siree, Roman, Twyla, Mariano, Xavier, Trinity, Angel, and Yasmine. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, corner of Cortez and Carleton Streets in Prescott. A celebration of Ben?s life will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 18, 2005 at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 630 Park Ave., Prescott with Rev. Mark R. Tilly officiating. A private cremation will follow at Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley. Ben?s family suggests contributions be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, Southwest Division, Inc., 2724 E.
