Kenny Yuan

On February 3, 2022, Kenny Yuan passed away unexpectedly in Arizona. Born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, Kenny was most recently a PGY-1 Pharmacy Resident at the Southern Arizona Veterans Affairs Healthcare System after graduating as a Doctor of Pharmacy- PharmD from the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in May of 2021. Prior to pharmacy school, Kenny completed his undergraduate studies at the Virginia Military Institute and served 6 years in the United States Army.

Kenny was a bright, hard-working, humble, caring, and genuine soul who had an amazing sense of humor. He was known to his family as a strong, ambitious, and protective leader. He was passionate about climbing and loved the mountains.

Kenny met the love of his life, Justine, while studying together at pharmacy school. It was a love that grew so strong that they instantly knew what the other was thinking with just a glance or peep. Together, they had a dog, Lani.

Family and close friends plan to have a service in Virginia as well as a trip to Colorado to scatter part of his ashes on one of his favorite mountains.
