Helen Louise Miller

Helen Louise Miller died Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at her home in Prescott, Ariz. She was born December 27, 1915 in Loysville, PA.; the daughter of David and Mae (Shannon) Wentz. Helen was 96 years old.Helen served on a hospital ship in the United States Navy as a nurse during the Asian and Europeon invasions. She was also selected as one of six Navy nurses to have an Audience with Pope Pius XII. She raised two children and continued her nursing career as an RN and was a member of the VFW.Helen is survived by her children; Doug Miller of Prescott, Ariz., Louise Miller and her husband Pat Martin of Washington, D.C., and grandson Nathan Lilienthal.
